It’s no secret that the American-market Buick Regal is a renamed version of the European Opel Insignia. This is why when GM released images of the 2018 Opel Insignia, the American market got a good look at what the 2018 Buick Regal will look like—and we’re in love.
The Buick Regal spy shots, which are actually pictures of the Insignia, give us a look at the next-generation Buick. These pictures show us a number of crisp, clean lines that give the Regal a modern silhouette, adding a touch of athleticism for those consumers that want a sporty sedan—but that’s not all.
In Europe, the Insignia is available as a sedan, hatchback, or wagon. Now, it looks like the United States is going to receive the option of having a wagon, too. In the past year, Buick has filed a trademark for the name “Regal TourX,” which hints at the US Regal wagon being a crossover-inspired wagon that is similar to the Subaru Outback. With Buick’s luxury trimmings, it would come as no surprise if the Regal wagon managed to outsell the Outback if it does hit markets soon.
There’s no official word yet as to when the 2018 Buick Regal will make its debut, but many experts believe it will happen sometime mid-2017. Until then, make sure you stop in to Richard Karr Motors to learn more about the current Regal model.
Buick has always been known for their focus on providing the safest driving experience possible, a fact that has just been reinforced with the new, top-notch safety ratings for the 2017 Buick Encore, a model that has become the third Buick vehicle to earn a 5-Star Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The NHTSA’s 5-Star Safety Program has represented the gold standard in automotive safety for decades, evaluating a vehicle’s ability to keep its driver and passengers safe in the event of a front crash, a side crash, and even a rollover.
The new Buick Encore scored as highly as possible on the NHTSA’s scale, thanks to its performance in these rigorous tests, as well as the long list of standard safety features that the model has to offer.
Optional safety features in the new Buick Encore also include rear cross-traffic alert, side blind-zone alert, rear park assist, forward collision alert, and lane departure warning – all of which are considered “driver assist” technologies.

Buick knows what its customers want. After offering a Sport Touring version of nearly every model it makes, including the Encore, Regal, Verano, and LaCrosse, it’ll now offer it with the new Enclave.
The 2017 Buick Enclave Sport Touring Edition debuted at the 2016 New York Auto Show with a distinctive Satin Black Ice grille and 20-inch wheels finished in the same color. It’ll be available with three premium exterior colors: White Frost Tricoat, Crimson Red Metallic, and Ebony Twilight Metallic.
The automaker claims it is doing this partly as a reward to its loyal customers. According to Buick, just over a third of all Enclave sales in 2015 came from returning customers, marking the highest loyalty rate among all Buick models. In fact, it tops the loyalty rate of most other vehicles in the crossover SUV segment.
Overall, the new 2017 Buick Enclave Sport Touring Edition will be a perfect choice for customers at Richard Karr Motors who want their Buick to look even more sophisticated and athletic.
Spy shots of have been captured of the upcoming 2017 Buick LaCrosse, which isn’t scheduled to get its official release until next year. Best of all, the vehicle in the image isn’t even camouflaged.
The picture, which you can check out here, shows that the 2017 LaCrosse is quite different from its predecessor, and looks a lot like Buick’s innovative new Avenir concept.
We do know that the 2017 LaCrosse will be larger than before, stretched over a E2XX platform, while at the same time, the vehicle will weigh less. This is almost certainly means that the new model will have better fuel efficiency.
With this image already out to the public, hopefully Buick will grant fans an official picture of the vehicle. In the meantime, if you’d like to learn more about an existing Buick vehicle, visit us at Richard Karr Motors.

Sometimes drivers experience love at first sight, and other times they need time to get to know their new car. Fortunately, Buick is giving prospective buyers all the time they need with the brand’s new 24 Hours of Happiness promotion, which allows shoppers to take a car home for 24 hours to truly get a feel for it.
According to a recent AutoTrader.com survey, 88% of car buyers won’t purchase a new car without test driving it first, and a majority of them wanted less pressure while taking their vehicle for a test spin. The “24 Hours of Happiness” promotion is designed to reduce that stress and increase joy.
“From the refined and sculptural design of our vehicles, to the environment of our showrooms, to our award-winning customer service, happiness and a sense of well-being are inherent in everything we do,” said Buick executive Duncan Aldred.
Buick’s also encouraging drivers to actively increase their happiness, through everything from in-car fragrance recipes to yoga instructions. In a new video, Israeli model, television host, actress and businesswoman Bar Refaeli demonstrates some of the yoga poses you can do with the new Buick Verano during your happiness-filled 24 hour test drive. The new technology will be available in 2016 Buick Regal and LaCrosse models, as well as the 2016 GMC Canyon, Yukon and Sierra. Apple CarPlay will run though the IntelliLink system set up in each car, allowing the drivers to have their smartphone features on the touchscreen interface.

For General Motors, offering the best fuel efficiency possible is important, which is why the American carmaker now offers General Motors’ eAssist technology in a variety of GM vehicles. Through a combination of different functions, the eAssist technology reduces fuel consumption, increasing the length of time between visits to the gas pump and decreasing the strain gas puts on your wallet.
The eAssist technology uses both Stop-Start engine capability and a 115-volt lithium-ion battery, which powers a 15-kW electric motor-generator. This allows the engine to stop running in certain conditions, saving a significant amount of fuel. Though the engine stops, the vehicle’s steering, radio, and interior functions all continue to run. As the brake pedal is released, the engine restarts itself, allowing it to accelerate at a normal rate. The eAssist system even uses the electric motor-generator to help the vehicle accelerate under hard acceleration or at cruising speed.
Other enhancements of the system include underbody aerodynamics, which streamline the car, along with wheels and tires that are optimized for performance and fuel efficiency. For more information on General Motors’ eAssist technology, contact Richard Karr Motors today!
As millions of college basketball fans across America gear up for the annual March Madness tournament, Buick has decided to have its own version of the tournament. The American carmaker has developed its own “Sweet 16” bracket that pits 16 trick-shot artists against each other in a new Buick.com promotion.
The Buick March Madness Tournament asks the public to vote for the best trick shots in head-to-head matchups and the competition is fierce! Competitors include four-year-old Trick Shot Titus, who has drawn millions of views on YouTube, along with dunk specialists Team Flight Brothers and the Dunking Devils.
“They’re pretty incredible,” said Molly Peck, Buick’s director of marketing and advertising. “It’s going to be a hard time selecting one to win. Some are amazing feats of coordination, some are amazing feats of physics.”
